Four Bored Ape Yacht Club is a new startup built on the Ethereum Blockchain, and their token sale has been going strong. After only two weeks they have already raised over $1 million in ETH from investors. The company says that this success will be made possible with an easy-to-use user interface for managing NFTs, which allows users to more easily invest in many different projects at once.
Four Bored Ape Yacht Club is a music group that has been formed by four avid cryptocurrency enthusiasts. The group is named after the “Bored Ape” meme, and they have released their first NFT, which is a Gorillaz-like character.
Decentraland recently held the inaugural Metaverse Festival, which drew musicians from all over the world for a four-day celebration of avatars, music, and NFTs.
Universal is grabbing a piece of the action only one day after the well-attended Ape Fest by launching a virtual band named Kingship with four renowned Apes from the Bored Apes Yacht Club.
NFTs are becoming more ingrained in society.
Jimmy McNeils, a well-known NFT collector with a diverse portfolio, is providing the Apes with items from his own collection, and the band’s fortunate members will be managed by Snoop Dogg. Jimmy has devised a brilliant method of inflating the worth of his monkeys.
The band is signed to Universal Music’s 10.22 PM label, which was formed by Celine Joshua, and will be performing among other well-known artists such as Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish. It’ll make music, perform in the metaverse, and drop NFT collectibles, among other things.
Since its establishment in 2020, the 10,000 NFTs in the Bored Ape Yacht Club and subsequently the Mutant Ape Yacht Club have attracted massive sales and increased in value. In an auction organized by the fine-art firm Sotheby’s earlier this year, 101 of Yuga Labs’ Bored Ape Yacht Club tokens were auctioned for $24.4 million.
The apes’ popularity has made them into VIPs, with owners getting first admission to NFT events. The most ardent NFT collectors seek them out, and they are supposed to reflect crypto aficionados who ‘ape in’ or get engaged in the crypto industry.
Will virtual bands like KING, for example, offer the next great songs to the music scene? One thing is certain: four edgy monkeys will be rocking the metaverse very soon.
